PRICING: Includes freight costs and is
F.O.B. destination. We assume risks of delivery.
MINIMUM ORDER: 60 trees
SPLIT SHIPMENTS: 50% to 60% of the trees are delivered initially and
the balance 10 to 14 days later. This minimizes
customer inventory and provides fresher trees
for the last half of the selling season. Minimum drop quantity is 60 trees.
FINANCING: No down payment required upon
approval. 50% payment by mid-December. Balance end of December.
QUALITY: Although lesser grades are available,
only “#1 or better” quality trees are supplied.
TRUCKING: We arrange our own trucks and configure the loads. Only
enclosed vans are used to protect the trees
from wind, a primary drying agent. For deliveries east of the Rocky
Mountains., 600 to 900 pounds of crushed ice is
sprayed into the van to provide a cool, moist environment for the trees.
DIRECT SHIPMENTS: To ensure freshness and consistent quality, the
trees are shipped directly from the
grower and not through an intermediary
wholesale yard where the trees are double handled.
CONSOLIDATED SHIPMENTS: All varieties and sizes supplied can be
included on the same truck, to minimize total
trucks unloaded by our customers.
SUPERVISION and COORDINATION: We supervise harvesting and loading of
the trucks. We coordinate communications between drivers, their freight
companies, and our customers.
RETAIL MARKETING CONSULTATION: Free consultation is provided to our
customers on planning, advertising, setting up and operating both typical
and unique retail lots. We have accumulated a wide range of marketing
techniques from our own retailing experiences and our large customer base.
